Just got a new Boerbel puppy and based on the Google reviews I decided to go to Family Pet Care. Suffice it to say 5 stars is not a high enough rating for them. My new puppy was a little timid to go inside so two wonderful employees came outside to help coax her in. The whole staff was engaged and cared about my pup being comfortable. The vet came in and took her time to answer all my questions and was great dealing with my dog. Special shout out to Taylor….she was the most dog friendly, bubbly, patient and knowledgeable vet tech ever! Very staff member was terrific. If you need a veterinarian this is the place to go!!!
I am new to this area and needed a vet for my cat. At that time, I only had one cat, but adopted another one from Forsaken Felines. I googled vets in the area and decided to go with Family Pet. I am so pleased with the service I have received since register. I especially want to acknowledge two people who has been exceptional, Sally Stintet and Tabby. They are always pleasant and helpful. I enjoy seeing their smiling faces and highly recommend Family Pet.
It has been nearly 6 months since our Abby passed from rapid-onset cancer. Dr. Schilling and Dr. Jolley, along with their amazing team, helped make a gut-wrenching experience at least bearable. Their care and concern for Abby - and for us - was truly touching and we can't thank them enough for all the little things they did to help us through.
Prior to our loss, Dr. Schilling and the Family Pet Care team provided wonderful day-to-day care of Abby and our visits were always pleasant, prompt, informative and on-point.
We are sure that for the 8 years we were blessed to have Abby, she was in great hands each time we visited Family Pet Care. We can't recommend them highly enough.

Highly Recommend! So happy with my first visit. The staff was very friendly, obviously love animals and seem to genuinely care about our pets. They had many great suggestions as to what I should be doing to raise my puppy and since it has been a very long time since I have had a puppy I very much appreciated that. Their "new puppy package" that they sent us home with was filled with a lot of great things including puppy food, chew toys, flea treatment and more. Their fees were surprisingly more reasonable then I had hoped. Thanks so much! We'll be seeing you again soon!
The staff was Friendly and gentle with my pet. They kept me updated on his progress with his neutering surgery, they weren't expensive and they did a great job. He is home and doing super well!!
The only Veterinarian that I would use and recommend. Always took great care of our sheltie, Bella, from the day we got her at 7-weeks until she was 2 months shy of 17 years. The entire staff are wonderful and Dr. Shirley made it as comfortable as possible for us when we had to finally say goodbye to Bella. Thank you all for being there throughout the years!
Always a great experience at Family Pet Care. Great care for our pets at a great price! We started visiting Dr. Jolley’s office when I had her daughter in my 3rd grade class. Definitely was worth the drive from Madison and now from the Athens area.
Nice office, friendly staff, easy to find. I have brought my pets here before in the past and have always been satisfied with the service received.
